Does God need you? Rabbi Yaron Reuven says, it's important we get this question correct, because if not we can't follow the Torah. Rabbi Reuven brings commentary from Rashi and Onkelos on the mitzvah of Shemitah in this week's Torah portion, Parashat Behar, that will clarify a question that should be simple to answer correctly, but for some reason many people get this wrong. As the Jewish Sages say, God doesn't need anything! This issue highlights the importance of learning Torah from a kosher Rabbi and reading with commentary from the Jewish Sages.
