A Question About Repaying Stolen Money

A student asks Rabbi Yaron Reuven about the proper way to go about repaying stolen money. If a person can pay back the money directly to the person without any risk, they have to make the effort to do so. If they can't find the person or it's a corporation, they can donate the money to KIRUV or any charity that will benefit the people they stole from.
