But somehow people have been fooled into looking for ways to avoid saying this most priceless blessing.



Birkat HaMazon is the only blessing HaShem specifically commands in the Torah. Rabbi Reuven says, HaShem gives you food to eat, the least your can do is say thank you, and don't look for ways to shorten it or skip out all together by saying mezonot, when you should be saying Hamotzi anyway.
