It's not people like Lavan HaRasha, and it's not even Nazis, it's Jews that decide to abandon the only thing that makes them Jewish. They refuse to learn Torah like Yaakov Avinu in the Yeshiva of Shem, the original Semite, and many are so filled with hate they can't stand others learning Torah either.
