It's like stealing from the Beit HaMikdash! What if a Rabbi flies to New York on his own dime and the guy that organized the event steals the donations to Tzedakah? What if someone gets KIRUV materials and their parents steal them and throw them away? Rabbi Yaron Reuven teaches an important lesson about the seriousness of stealing from KIRUV organizations like Be'Ezrat HaShem.
When an organization dedicates itself to helping Jews do TeShuva, the money is like the treasury in the Beit HaMikdash, and stealing it is like stealing from HaShem. Multiple people even collected money from the audience donations when Rabbi Reuven gave a shiur and then stole it. Complete criminals with no conscience who will have to get reincarnated as a horse if they don't pay back the money. With Rosh Hashanah around the corner everyone wants to be sure they don't have anything stolen on their hands, especially not funds they stole from HaShem.
