Reasons For Keeping Shabbat - Parashat Shlach

There are many reasons for keeping Shabbat for a Jew. The top two are because HaShem said so, and to avoid the horrible punishment. Parashat Shlach has the first Mechalel Shabbat, Tzlophchad. Rabbi Yaron Reuven says, a week after we got the Torah Tzlophchad violated Shabbat and got a death penalty, proving excuses won't cut it in Shamayim.
