Rabbi Yaron Reuven says, Pesach is easy today. With all the advances in food technology, not eating Chametz is pretty simple. But knowing why we celebrate Pesach, and really believing in all the miracles of the Exodus down to the last crumb is a little more difficult for some people.
But his deeper point is where the real tension lies—the “why.” Understanding and genuinely believing in the story of the Exodus from Egypt, with all its miracles, requires more than convenience. It asks for engagement with history, faith, identity, and tradition. In a modern, often skeptical and fast-paced world, many people struggle not with doing rituals, but with feeling connected to their meaning.
