He Despised The Word Of HaShem

Someone that withholds the Torah from the Jewish people is judged as they despised the word of HaShem. Rabbi Yaron Reuven tells a story of what the Torah judgment is for people that take FREE KIRUV materials and decide to withhold the Torah from the Jewish people and not give them out. Most people think this isn't a big deal, but when something is dedicated to help Am Yisrael do TeShuva it has the same status as funds used in the Beit HaMikdash. And it's even worse for someone that withholds the truth from someone because they think "they can't handle it." This is a karet sin.

Such materials are viewed as having sacred status, comparable to resources dedicated to the Beit HaMikdash, because their purpose is to bring Jews closer to teshuva and truth. Furthermore, intentionally withholding Torah out of the belief that others “cannot handle the truth” is portrayed as even more serious, reaching the level of a karet sin.
