HaShem Loves Everyone, Even The Rasha?
Are you sure HaShem loves everyone? Rabbi Yaron Reuven says, it's a common misconception that simply attending synagogue and learning Torah every day turns a person into a Tzaddik. If these actions are performed out of mere habit rather than a sincere desire to improve one's character and engage in true teshuva (repentance), they fail to elevate the individual. In fact, engaging in religious routines while holding onto arrogance and refusing to change bad traits can actually strengthen negative spiritual forces rather than providing personal merit. A genuine path to spiritual growth requires stripping away ego, as flaunting religious acts only contradicts the ultimate goal of connecting with HaShem.
While the Torah says HaShem hates the wicked in many verses, the Sages say the reality is that HaShem loves their infinite potential. In a single moment, anyone can make the conscious decision to stop sinning and become a baal teshuva, reaching a profound spiritual height that even the purely righteous cannot attain. HaShem never gives up on anyone and always waits for that split-second decision to return to the right path, reminding us that we must take the initiative to genuinely change our own lives.
