Atonement for Am Yisrael Parashat Chukat

Rabbi Yaron Reuven brings insights on Parashat Chukat and the passing of a Tzaddik or Tzaddikah from the Zera Shimshon. In this week's Parasha both Miriam and Aharon go to Gan Eden, and traditionally the passing of a Tzaddik serves as an atonement for Am Yisrael. But the Zera Shimshon says, this only applies if we mourn properly and do TeShuva, and this lack of proper mourning is why Miriam's well dried up. Rabbi Reuven also brings an inspiring story about the passing of Rav Nissim Yagen zt"l, one of the greatest KIRUV Rabbis of the previous generation.
